Thanksgiving Home Tour: Part 3

Just nine more days before Thanksgiving. Aside from not believing how fast this year has gone by, I invite you to take some time out during the rest of this month to give thanks for your home.

I’m doing this by sharing some of my favorite things about our house. Even though it’s not yet all that I’d like it to be, I realize that I’m very fortunate to live here with my family.

So, without further ado, I’m taking a look at the master bedroom and bathroom today. Some of the things I’m most thankful for are:

1. His and hers sinks. Having separate sinks makes getting dressed so much easier, and I can totally ignore any messes over on hubbie’s side.

2. New carpet. I guess this could be said for the entire house, but I’m really happy with our decision to switch to a darker carpet a few months back. It’s definitely family friendly as it hardly shows any of the kids’ juice stains or any other damage they do to the carpet.

3. New paint. This is something else we did a few months ago while I was on maternity leave with my baby girl. Again, we went a little darker than our previous color, and I really like the laid-back feel to it.

4. Built-in shelving in the closet. I really appreciate the added functionality these sweet organizers bring. They’re perfect for storing purses, jewelry and other odd items.

That wraps up today’s Thanksgiving Home Tour. Be sure to check back every Tuesday in November for more. Here’s Part 1, Part 2 and Part 4 if you missed it.

What about you…What do you like about your home? What are you most thankful for?

In my home, I’m Thankful everything has its place. I don’t have to second guess where things are when I need it.
Kacey I love the color of your walls. I hope to one day have my walls the same color and new carpet for the bedroom.

I think this color definitely beats the white paint color that I had in all of my previous apartments. Maybe one day, I’ll get up the courage to put some bold color on the walls, but after my disaster with purple paint, this color will suit me just fine.
