When Crafting Projects Go Right: Fancy Clothespins

decorative clothespins

I got the idea for these on Etsy.com awhile back, and I must say that they’re one of the easiest and cheapest crafting projects ever. I picked up the clothes pins from Dollar Tree and the scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby at 50% off. Total cost: less than $2.00 for 24 clothespins. If you’re looking for a quick gift for your kids’ teachers, a gift exchange, stocking stuffers or whatever, read on…

If you don’t have an Exacto knife , you can just trace and cut the scrap paper with scissors. I used Mod Podge to glue the paper to the pins, and to add a protective coat on top.

Once done, I cut out some Christmas trees with my new Cricut and used glue dots to tape a gift card to the back of each hand-made card.

And nope, clothespins aren’t just for hanging clothes any more. They’re perfect for organizing papers, clipping bags and using as magnets.
