First off, Halloween’s not really my thing (though I do like dressing up and candy). However, what I do like is shopping…or more specifically, shopping on other people’s dime. So, when my boss asked me to pick up some Halloween decorations for the office, I was game.
You have to understand, my boss is pretty hard-core about his Halloween decorations–as evidenced by the fact that the topic made it to our company meeting agenda this week. The day after the meeting, he was already asking me what I was going to buy. Fortunately, he gave me a pretty decent budget to work with, which means I was able to pick up some pretty nice goods. If you’re in the market for Halloween decor, I recommend checking out Michael’s and Home Goods. Surprisingly, Target–my go-to store for everything–failed me on this mission. Out of the five stores that I visited last week, it was the only store with no Halloween decorations out yet.
Anyway, aside from the obligatory pumpkin or two that we usually have at home, I think this is probably the first time I’ve ever done Halloween decorations of any sort. I was kind of proud of how it all came together. All the delivery guys have been raving over it, and my boss gave me an A+. (Hmm…I wonder if I can cash that in for a bonus check?)

Whoa….budget indeed. :) I think we might grab some cobwebs from the basement, throw them around the living room and call it a season. :) Seriously though…looks cool, and reminds me of “The Office” show a bit!

Ha! That sounds like my kind of decorating. Yes, to say my boss loves Halloween is an understatement. He probably has no less than 10 huge tubs of just Halloween decorations.
