With November just around the corner, I want to ask for help in a really cool project. The goal is pretty simple: Let’s put the thankful back in the month of Thanksgiving.
With our busy lives and all the craziness going on in the world, it’s easy to lose sight of all that we’ve been blessed with. That’s why, for the month of November, I’m asking everyone to pull up the Instagram app on their phones and snap a photo a day of something they’re thankful for.
Why Instagram?
Aside from the fact Instagram makes me feel like a professional photographer, with Instagram, we’ll be able to follow each other’s photos. When you take a picture, just add the hashtag #thankful to your photo caption. Starting October 31, I’ll also post a link-up so you can add your Instagram account and follow some new ones.
If you’re old school and prefer to use your regular camera instead, that’s perfectly fine, too.
But I’m Not That Creative
If you find yourself a little thankful challenged, I’ve got you covered. Here are 30 photo prompts to get you through the month. Use as many as you want in whatever order you want.
What’s In It For Me?
The best “gift” this challenge will give you is reminding you of life’s many blessings. After the challenge, I highly encourage you to make a keepsake out of your photos. That could mean printing out your pictures, making a photobook, adding them to your annual family newsletter, personalizing a t-shirt or whatever else your heart fancies.
In addition, PostalPix is throwing in some goodies for all the participants. They have a really neat app that let’s you print photos directly from your cell phone. If you participate, you’ll be eligible for a one-time discount code, and one lucky participant will get a $20 gift credit.
