You know that thing you do that you don’t want to do but you keep doing?
Don’t do it again.
God has made you for so much more.
I know it’s hard. The things you want to do, you don’t do and the things you don’t want to do, you do.
However, today’s a new day so you have 24 hours to work on it again.
Maybe it’s the food you can’t say no to. Or the guy that you can’t let go. The times you fall asleep when you should be praying or reading your Bible. Yelling at your kids out of frustration.
Don’t beat yourself up. We all have our hangups. But we don’t have to let them control us forever.
We can do all things through Christ who strenghtens us.
Life doesn’t have to be a series of one broken record after another.
Make that up in your mind right now. You can do it.
You, yes even you, are destined for greatness. Maybe not the stand on the platform and make millions of dollars kind of greatness.
But the kind of greatness carved out for you and only you.

The last few months I’ve been seeing blog posts after blog posts about speaking biblical truth over negative thoughts, habits and hangups. It seems so simple but I’ve never really done it with intention before. I’m making an effort to do more of that this year.
Great post. That verse about doing what the things I don’t want to do has always hurt my head…probably because I can relate too well! Thank you for your ending…I am destined for greatness. But only because of HIM!!!
